Naomi Rose is one of the senior scientists for the Humane Society International or HSI. She specializes in international marine mammal protection problems. Her expertise ranges in areas that include whale and dolphin watching, whaling, marine ecotourism, marine sanctuaries, dolphin safe tuna label, captive marine mammals such as dolphin programs, etc, the Marine Mammal Protection Act as well as the sport hunting of the polar bears and the protection of seals, walruses, manatees, sea otters, sea lions, dugongs, etc. Being a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Whaling Commission, Rose is invited to take part in the subcommittee on the environmental concerns.
